Excel, MATLAB, AspenPlus, and FEMLAB are the programs that are being shown here. A broad overview of the physical problem opens each chapter on chemical engineering applications. Then, in order for the computer to represent those broad concepts, they are placed in a mathematical framework. The reader is then provided with a series of examples that demonstrate how to solve the problem (or problems comparable to it) step-by-step.
